Our Health and Safety Plan
Policy Changes - Please review before your appointment!
We’re excited to welcome you back!
Good Form’s top priority is the safety of our wonderful staff and clients. We will continue to strive to provide you with the absolute best experience that we can, and in order to serve these two important goals, we have made some changes.
No walk ins
Going forward we will be operating on an APPOINTMENT ONLY basis. All appointments must be booked in advance, this includes; consultations, tattoos, piercings, troubleshooting, jewelry changes, and jewelry sales.
Please e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange your appointment. You can also call the studio at 250-729-9999. Tattoo consultations can be requested via our online form at https://tattoopiercer.com/request-a-tattoo-booking/
No waiting room
Our small waiting area can not accommodate adequate space for social distancing, so we have closed it for the time being. We ask that, when you arrive for you pre scheduled appointment, that you call us from your car, and we will invite you in when we are ready for you.
For anyone arriving by bus or on foot, there is a covered area with a picnic table where you can wait. Please maintain 6 feet of distance from anyone else who may be using the picnic area.
Mask are required
Due to the proximity required for piercing and tattooing procedures, all clients are required to bring and wear a mask to their appointments. You must put on your mask before entering the building, and must wear it until you leave. Food and water breaks will be taken outside.
If you do not have a mask, we can provide you one disposable mask for a fee of $5, but we would prefer to reserve the masks for our staff, as they can still be difficult to source.
The first thing that you will be asked to do when you are brought into the studio for your pre scheduled appointment is to wash your hands with soap and water. (The bathroom is located right beside the front door.) There are hand sanitizer stations located around the shop, but we encourage you to wash with soap and water whenever possible to extend the life of our limited sanitizer supply.
To minimize the number of people in our small space, we cannot currently allow friends, family, or children to come with you to your appointment.
In the case of persons under 16 receiving a piercing, one parent or guardian will be required to be on site to give their consent and fill out paperwork.
No one under 14
For the time being, we will not be offering any piercing services to anyone under the age of 14.
No piercings under your mask
At this time, we will not be offering services that require the removal of masks for our employee's safety. This includes any nasal or oral piercings, such as nostrils, septums, lips, tongues, etc.
Eat before you arrive
To prevent lightheadedness, we require that you have eaten a meal within four hours of your appointment. As we do not allow the removal of masks while in the studio, you may not eat or drink during your appointment, but only outside during breaks.
If you are feeling unwell
DO NOT ENTER the studio if you are currently experiencing flu-like symptoms such as cough, fever, and shortness of breath. For the safety of all, please contact us to reschedule your appointment.
If you know exactly the jewelry you need, including; gauge, length/diameter, style, etc, and do not need it inserted, we can organize a contactless pick up at the studio that does not require you to enter the premises.
We appreciate your patient and understanding as we work hard to keep things running smoothly and safely.
EverydayHealth and safety have always been a top priority at Good Form.
Although we have taken many additional precautions during this pandemic, we take your health and safety seriously, every day of the year.
Our receptionists update their first aid and CPR training annually. They are trained in cross contamination prevention and help to maintain a clean and hygienic environment from the moment you walk through the door.
Our piercers also update their first aid and CPR certification annually, and additionally take annual Blood Borne Pathogens training. They practice aseptic technique during each service, and only use pre-sterilized, single use needles. Their tools undergo a rigorous multi step sterilization process that includes a soak in enzymatic solution and being run through an ultrasonic, before being packaged and sterilized in an autoclave. Piercers also regularly attend the annual Association of Professional Piercers conference to learn the newest techniques and practices from top piercers in the continent.
Our tattoo artists also update their first aid and CPR certification annually, and additionally take annual Blood Borne Pathogens training. They practice aseptic technique during each service, and only use pre-sterilized, single use needles and cartridges. Nothing is ever reprocessed or reused for a tattoo, we are a completely disposable shop.
As always, we invite any and all questions regarding our procedures, so that you can feel confident in the steps that we take to protect you.
