Kara began her first job in the body modification industry in 2013, working as a receptionist and manager before moving into a tattoo apprenticeship in 2016. She focused on her drawing skills and the theory of tattooing before picking up her first tattoo machine in early 2018.
Always striving to learn more, Kara enjoys taking workshops and online classes, and in 2019 she travelled to LA to attend the Explorer Women’s Tattoo Summit.
Kara’s art is illustrative and colourful. Her designs are often influenced by pop culture, dinosaurs, cute animals (often in hats), and all things glitter and rainbows. Her signature colour is turquoise.
In her personal life, Kara enjoys painting, writing, felting dinosaurs, and petting her corgis.
After working at Good Form Piercing & Tattoos for 11 years, Kara spread her wings and left the nest in spring 2024 to go and guest and travel while she works on opening her private studio.
