Ampallang Piercing

An Ampallang, similar to an Apadravya, is a piercing that goes through the head of the penis. In the case of an Ampallang, the piercing is done horizontally through the glans.

Depending on the client's anatomy, this piercing may be done further back on the glans, closer to the corona, in the middle of the glans, or closer to the tip of the penis.

An Ampallang can be pierced through the urethra (transurethral) or above the urethra. Piercings done through the urethra typically heal faster as there are two shorter piercing channels to heal, rather than a single longer one.

Ampallang piercings are considered functional piercings for both the wearer and the partner. A bar worn horizontally through the head of the penis can increase sensation and pleasure for both partners. Depending on the angle of penetration, it may be capable of stimulating a woman’s G-spot (a sexually sensitive spot on the front wall of the vagina).

An "iron cross" or "magic cross" is made when a person has both an Ampallang and an Apadravya. (Horizontal and vertical piercings through the glans).
