Septum Piercing
A septum piercing is a piercing that goes through the centre part of the nose, in between the nostrils. This piercing is done in the thin part of the skin, commonly referred to as the "sweet spot", between the cartilage on top and the thicker skin at the bottom of the nose.
Septums are one of a few piercings that are started off with rings, and as long as the ring you select has a stopper of some kind to prevent free movement through the piercing channel, you can go for a piece of jewelry as simple or decorative as you like.
Due to the stretchiness of the skin, septum piercings can be stretched quite easily to accommodate a larger gauge of jewelry, or multiple thin pieces for a septum stack. These septum stacks can be personalized and customized by mixing and matching different rings to create a unique look.

If you are still noticing swelling around your piercing after 8 weeks, we recommend coming in for a piercing consultation so our piercer can take a look at the piercing and assess the situation.
If you prefer the look of a thicker piercing, or have had trouble healing piercings in the past and want a more stable piercing, our piercers may be able to pierce you with a larger gauge than listed above, however; for safety and healing we will not pierce with anything smaller.
