Triangle Piercing
A triangle piercing is a type of vulva piercing that goes horizontally through the tissue behind the clitoral shaft, just under the clitoral hood, with the jewelry wrapping around the clitoris. This piercing is one of the most advanced vulva piercings, and it is also considered to be the most functional.
Due to the placement of the piercing and the jewelry, the curve of the ring has the potential to stimulate the clitoris from the back, as well as the sides. As the piercing goes behind the clitoris, these piercings are extremely anatomy-specific as the wearer must have enough tissue to safely pierce through and support the jewelry.
In order for a client to be able to receive a triangle piercing, the clitoral hood must sufficiently protrude from the body. For this reason, triangle piercings are becoming a more popular vulva piercing for trans-masc people and those on testosterone, as the hormones tend to increase the size of the clitoral hood.
The triangle piercing is a fairly modern piercing, as it was done for the first time in the early 1990's.
