NOTE: It is extremely important to make sure you keep your fresh piercing out of bodies of water for at least 3 MONTHS post-piercing (preferably closer to 6 months). Bodies of water like pools, lakes, and even bathtubs are harbingers of bacteria and fresh piercings are open wounds. Showers are encouraged, as the running water doesn't submerge your piercing in stagnant water, and thorough drying after a shower is essential.
