Vertical Clitoral Hood Piercing
This piercing goes vertically through the clitoral hood (protective fold of tissue that sits above/on top of the clitoris). It is generally pierced with a curved barbell, and is often described as a “functional” piercing. This piercing sits vertically and allows the bottom ball to sit on top of the clitoris providing added stimulation and pressure. This sensation can be increased by wearing larger ends and/or stretching the piercing.
These are one of the most popular genital piercings we perform, and although they are anatomy-dependant, most people have suitable anatomy to get this piercing.
Due to the placement and the style of jewelry used, there are lots of fun decorative options that can be used on the top of the curve, including some beautiful gold ends. As long as the top jewelry is low profile and doesn't have any prongs or claws, there are lots of options to choose from.
Healing Time (approximate): 6-8 weeks
Downsize: Usually not necessary, but if you find the barbell has a lot of extra length we can downsize to a shorter curve
